The ski and snowboard season arrives early this year!  Saturday October 18th, 2008 from 5pm-10pm marks the fourth annual Kalamazoo Ski & Snowboard Festival, being held this year at Timber Ridge Ski Area. This year’s event has more to offer than ever including: prize giveaways, gear discounts in the ski shop a rail jam competition for all skill levels, live music, and exhibitor booths with product representatives. The evening will climax with the local premier of Teton Gravity Research’s 2008 action sports movie – Under the Influence.
The event is being held at the Timber Ridge Ski Area, approximately 8 miles Northwest of Kalamazoo, located at:

The afternoon will be full of activities for all ages. There will be a rail jam competition held at 5pm, with different rails to accommodate all skill levels. Entry to the rail jam is only $10.00, and a prize drawing will follow the event. Exhibitor booths will also be set up from local and regional business, and product representatives will be on hand showcasing the latest gear.
In addition, The Timber Ridge ski shop will be open with great discounts to be had. Season passes for the 2008-2009 season will also be on sale. Food and beverages will be available at the Snowshoe bar.

The band Cheap Girls will be providing live music prior to the movie.

New for this year we are also hosting a TGR film premiere in  Ann Arbor, MI - one week after the Kalamazoo Ski & Snowboard Festival! The event will be held Friday 10/24 (the day before the UM-MSU game!) and is located at:

The venue is 18+ and doors open at 7pm and the movie showtime is 8pm. At 10pm there will be an afterparty with a full slate of live bands. The bands performing will be Cheap Girls, Freer, and Randy Thunderbird.
